Over the past year or so, we here at The MAD House worked with the fun folks at DoubleDave’s Pizzaworks on a brand update project. DoubleDave’s is a growing pizza dine-in/carry-out/delivery franchise concept with over 50 stores in Texas and Oklahoma.
It all started with a very intense brand discovery and alignment led by our Brand Alignment Guru Mike. Interviews occurred, surveys delivered, and traveling the state – pizza restaurants were experienced. Mounds of research were crunched down into some very specific needs.
Working from the results of the discovery/alignment process and led by MAD Brandologist Charla Adams, our creative team set about developing concepts to help bring the brand into this century and carry it on to the next.
Designer-freak Steve Chandler went into his diaper-lined logo cave and emerged a few days later with multiple design directions. After a few meetings with DoubleDave’s Dave and DoubleDave’s Chuck, a couple of weeks later we had the final version. Steve went on to apply the logo to a very nice paper system and exterior signs.
Next, the design tag team of Wendy Lewis and Sean Carnegie helped bring our concepts for a new ordering process, menus, interior signage, Wild Wooly Wednesday promotion, and Not So Regular Regulars program to life.
MAD design-freak Luke Miller came up with some awesome designs for the company’s dough mix bags, fountain machine wraps and pizza boxes.
This is the kind of project we really dig! These photos are from the first store to implement the new system. Yee-haw!
