Here’s the poster for this year’s Read. Wrote. Rock. event benefiting CapCityKids. CapCityKids (The Capital City Fund for Education) is a non-profit organization created to help children facing homelessness beat the odds and get a quality education. CapCityKids develops innovative programs and provides direct resources to help these students stay in school. Administrative costs for our programs are absorbed by the Austin Independent School District. Thanks to this close partnership, 100% of your donations go directly to the students. Your donations not only provide basic school supplies, but also support campus based specialist for at-risk students, after-school tutoring at homeless shelters, and help connect kids with social services. Learn more about them HERE.
This is our second year in a row to work with CapCityKids. Designer Derrit Derouen created the poster. We’ll mass produce 11 x 17 version to post around town, and we’ll also produce a larger, limited edition screen printed version. Each screen printed version will be numbered and signed by Derrit, and will be available at the event at Antone’s.
Here’s last year’s poster, the first in the series.
